Kristen Anne Bell (born 1980) is a popular American performer and actress. She is a Michigan native who was born and raised by her parents, Lorelei Frygier (a nurse) and Tom Bell (a TV news director). Kristen is born in Polish descent (mother), and German, English and Scottish (father). Kristen found her talent within the industry of entertainment in her early years. When she was in 1992, the actress went to her first audition. She was successful and got an appearance in Raggedy Ann and Andy. Bell's mom introduced her to an agent when she was thirteen, and she was subsequently cast in television advertisements for newspapers and commercials. At this time, she also began training in private acting. Bell appeared as a guest in Polish Wedding (2000) in 1998 in a role that was not credited to her. Bell was a part of the drama and musical groups of Shrine Catholic High School. She was a part of Dorothy in the school production of The Wizard of Oz. After graduating, Bell moved to New York City to attend the prestigious Tisch School of the Arts and studied musical theater. Bell was a graduate in 2001, resigned her studies at the university to play the role Becky in Tom Sawyer. Also in 2001 when Bell's debut appearance was in a credited film, Pootie Tang (2002). However, her part was cut and the credits are all that depict her. Bell appeared alongside Angela Bettis, Liam Neeson and in the Broadway performance of The Crucible in 2002.
