Hossack is a native of Canada Steinbach. She was raised at Killarney Manitoba and took part in musical theatre productions during her time as a student. Following her first semester at Brandon University, she was an aspiring pianist. The major she was pursuing changed to vocal. Following a brief stint in acting, she decided that she was only interested in acting. Following her graduation from Brandon She then attended the Banff School of Fine Arts. When she completed her college education, Hossack performed on the stage during The Muskoka Festival in Ontario as also her own Rainbow Stage at Winnipeg.
